Dus je hebt een Scrypt miner en je komt er net achter dat C. Kolivas’ cgminer 3.8.0+ geen Scrypt mining meer ondersteund?

De laatste stabiele kernel 3.2.8 (x64). Gebouwd op de Ubuntu manier, geoptimalisserd voor Intel Core2 en nieuwere CPU’s.

Linux Mint/Ubuntu 3.2.5 kernel met langverwachte ASPM kernel fix

De langverwachte ASPM kernel fix is eindelijk belandt in de 3.2 kernel! Op onderstaand adres tref je de voor de i3, i5 en i7 geoptimaliseerde 3.2.5 kernel (x64) aan, de Ubuntu patches zijn hierop toegepast.

Installeren met:

sudo dpkg -i linux-headers-3.2.5-030205_3.2.5-030205.201202061401_all.deb linux-headers-3.2.5-030205-i7_3.2.5-030205.201202061401_amd64.deb linux-image-3.2.5-030205-i7_3.2.5-030205.201202061401_amd64.deb

Gnome 3 activities button verwijderen met behoud van hotspot

1 van de dingen die mij irriteerde aan Gnome 3 onder Linux Mint 12 Lisa was de activities button. Ik vind deze knop een beetje overbodig omdat hetzelfde overzicht verschijnt als je je muis naar de linkerbovenhoek verplaatst. Om deze knop uit je menubalk te slopen open je het bestand /usr/share/themes/Mint-Z/gnome-shell/gnome-shell.css als root en ga je naar regel 474:

Verander 58 en 24 in 0, sla het bestand op en herstart de Gnome shell (ALT + F2, r, <ENTER>).

En voila, weg knop!

Als je niet het standaard theme gebruikt kan je het bestand vinden in /usr/share/themes/JOUWTHEME/gnome-shell/gnome-shell.css en zoek je naar #panelActivities.
